Madam Ene Delivering Her Speech

Yanayiwuwa (it’s possible) a Hausa drama series aimed at bringing to light issues affecting women and the girl child in our communities, showcasing these issues and possible ways they can be addressed and solved. LHI in collaboration with NDI and SFCG organized this drama, the radio drama revolved around female education, women empowerment and ways women can be of assistance in the home. The purpose of this drama was to sensitize the society on the importance.

and need to empower women. The drama helped in reaching out to the grassroots and the gatekeepers on how an empowered woman can help in the development and transformation of the society. The first edition of this drama was aired for Eight (8) weeks from March 2017.

A feedback and assessment session of Yanayiwuwa Drama Series was held on 27th July 2017 at Tamaje Civic Hall Sokoto. The meeting was purported to discuss and share feedbacks from the previous drama series and to also deliberate on how to go about the second


edition in attendance were Search for Common Ground Team, National Democratic Institute(NDI), LHI, Media Stations and Print Media in the State. Important dignitaries present include the Honorable Speaker House of Assembly, Perm. Secretary Ministry of Women Affairs, Gender Desk Officers, Female Journalists and more.
