In order to enhance the livelihood of our beneficiaries who are largely peasant and small holders farmers, LHI under the agriculture component focuses on production, diversification and value addition and market linkages. The production aspect using community education, enlightenment and mobilization, covers best agronomic practices for target crops which will target beneficiaries. For animal production, we focus on small ruminant (sheep and goat) production.

Supporting the farmers either women, youth or men, we provide information and knowledge covering crop diversification as well as addition of value to crops produced where farm produce will be subjected to further processing. On the aspect of value chain, we select crops of high economic value and study for a comprehensive value chain evaluation.
