Project Overview

The "Promoting Digital Skills of CSOs" project is led by ZOA in partnership with Life Helpers Initiative (LHI) and Justice, Development, and Peace Commission (JDPH). The project aims to foster inclusive digital transformation in 30 communities across Borno and Yobe States.

Target Beneficiaries

The project targets women, hard-to-reach youth, and persons with disabilities (PwDs), focusing on building their digital skills and promoting inclusive digital transformation.

Objectives

1. Capacity Building: Build the capacity of 39 grassroots Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) to improve their technical and management skills.
2. Digital Infrastructure: Establish 25 community IT hubs powered by solar energy to ensure sustainable access to digital resources.
3. Digital Literacy: Facilitate digital literacy training for marginalized groups, including women and PwDs.
4. Advocacy: Advocate for policy changes to bridge the digital divide and promote gender inclusion.
5. Economic Empowerment: Foster good governance and economic empowerment in the target regions.

Implementation

Life Helpers Initiative (LHI) plays a vital role in directly engaging with CSOs to improve their technical and management skills and facilitating digital literacy training for marginalized groups.

Additional Initiatives

The project also supports the formation and development of Village Savings and Loan Associations (VSLAs) to promote economic empowerment and financial inclusion.

Overall Impact

The project aims to promote inclusive digital transformation, bridge the digital divide, and foster economic empowerment and good governance in the target regions.
