IRI Project with Life Helpers Initiative

Project Overview
Life Helpers Initiative (LHI) partnered with the International Republican Institute (IRI) to promote gender inclusion and strengthen governance in Sokoto State. The project focused on increasing women's participation in politics and governance while fostering inclusive decision-making processes.

Key Objectives

1. Enhance Gender Inclusion: Empower women through advocacy, capacity-building, and mentorship programs to take active roles in political and governance structures.
2. Strengthen Governance: Engage communities, civil society, and government stakeholders to promote transparency and inclusivity in decision-making.
3. Community Awareness: Conduct sensitization campaigns to challenge societal norms limiting women’s participation in politics and governance.

Activities

• Organizing workshops and training sessions for women on leadership and governance.
• Hosting town hall meetings to foster dialogue on gender inclusion and governance.
• Collaborating with local stakeholders to create platforms for women to voice their perspectives.

Impact
The project contributed to improved representation of women in political processes and governance, fostering a more inclusive and equitable decision-making environment in Sokoto State.
