Integrated Health Program (IHP) in Partnership with Life Helpers Initiative (LHI)

The Integrated Health Program (IHP), led by USAID Palladium in collaboration with Life Helpers Initiative (LHI), has been implemented over the past 18 months across Sokoto, Bauchi, Kebbi, and Ebonyi States to enhance access to quality healthcare and strengthen the health system. The program focuses on improving maternal and child health, combating preventable diseases, and reducing health inequities among underserved populations.

Key Achievements

• Capacity Building: Trained and mentored healthcare workers to manage uncomplicated childhood illnesses such as malaria, pneumonia, and diarrhea, as well as malnutrition cases.
• Community Engagement: Conducted sensitization sessions with community-led structures (WDCs/VDCs) on hygiene, malaria prevention, resource mobilization, and gender-based violence (GBV).
• Health Services Delivery: Strengthened nutrition screening, provided family planning (FP) services, and improved documentation of client recovery.
• Advocacy and Campaigns: Organized awareness campaigns, including the 16 Days of Activism against GBV, and reactivated Savings and Internal Lending Communities (SILC) groups to promote resilience.

Through collaborative efforts, the program has made strides in building sustainable health outcomes and fostering community ownership of healthcare initiatives.
